Condolence to Lance Corporal (LCP) Mar Teng Fong.

Actually heard this news a couple of days ago from my buddy in the navy regarding this freak accident. Didn't really know him personally, but it is just sad a young 20 years old chap pass away.

Death of Full-Time National Serviceman

A full-time national serviceman, Lance Corporal (LCP) Mar Teng Fong, passed away at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) this afternoon at 2.44pm, in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). LCP Mar, 20, had been taken to SGH in a helicopter after being found unconscious between a hydraulic sliding door and its door frame on board the Republic of Singapore Ship (RSS) Persistence, by a fellow serviceman on 18 November 2009.

LCP Mar, an engineering systems specialist, was on engineering watch duty on board the ship which was out at sea for training. He had gone on a routine round to check the engineering systems at about 11.40pm on 17 November 2009. When he did not return by 11.55pm, a fellow serviceman went in search of him and found LCP Mar unconscious between the hydraulic door and its door frame at 12.01am on 18 November 2009. The door connects the engine room to the propeller shaft compartment of the ship. LCP Mar was given immediate medical attention by a Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) medical doctor on board the ship. He was heli-evacuated to SGH at 1.15am. An SAF medical doctor and a medic continued to resuscitate him on board the helicopter, which arrived at SGH at 1.26am. LCP Mar was given emergency medical treatment and warded in the ICU.

The Ministry of Defence (MINDEF) and the SAF extend their deepest condolences to the family of the late LCP Mar. MINDEF will assist the family in their time of grief and is investigating the incident.

Lieutenant-Colonel (LTC) Lee Soon Tat, Commanding Officer of RSS Persistence, said: "The RSS Persistence family is deeply saddened by the incident. Teng Fong was a positive and hardworking young man who was well liked by his peers and superiors." A fellow serviceman on board the ship added: "Teng Fong was always willing to lend a helping hand to his buddies and never failed to bring a smile to everybody's faces. We will miss him very much."

dusty blog i guess.

been a while i last blog.
frankly speaking, nothing for me to blog. everything seems "okay" to me now.
In my new dept, it seem that I quite comfortable. No longer those heart pumping, nerve wreaking time. Hopefully everything will be smooth sailing till the day I decided to leave.

Well just came back from ICON aka Thai disco. Ok I know or rather many you guys know I been hanging out "those place" quite often nowadays. But seriously nothing for me to do thou, at least going there, have a couple of drinking, watching people singing and laugh at many stupidity spending hundreds and thousand can be quite entertaining thou.

Anyway just happen today I went there, there was police raid. Not that lights was on and guys and ladies one side. Police was there just to inspect after the Thai disco saga reported on Newspaper regarding how "bad" those place are. Many girls was "caught" and scan through their passport. Can see the "chaos" suddenly, many of them was trying to escape. The place turns quiet once after police turn up. The before and after was obvious, half the place was empty. Well when police round up, 1 guys and two Thailand ladies was hand cuffed and up to the blue QX van. Surely it was my first time i seen this, quite a "eye-opener" *laugh*. But i'm quite sure business gonna be affected for next few weeks again.

okay thats all for now. Will update u guys again when i have the time.

i end up didn't tender. after persuade by my manager. he agree to transfer me to other department instead.

now. life is still as messy as ever.

many of them said, need to know when to relax. no point kill urself over work.
i agree and learning.

i guess its time for me to plan something. maybe one family trip soon.

School starting on 21th this month.

Just nice, day after i return from Thailand.

Work not been smooth, damn disappointed with my performance.
But I just don't freaking understand what is fucking happening.
Once again, I began to dislike my job again.
Not that i didn't whine in the past.
But the level of dislike drop as time goes by.
Again new training, the level just increase day by day.
I fear of work;

Had my appraisal done by AM,
he is satisfied with my work performance, at least I'm clean with accidents, misconduct and etc.
He says he will confirm me after 1 year of probation.
I don't know if I should be happy a not.
But i know.
I hate the heart pumping place I'm working now.
I hate the shouting across the room like fish market.
I hate the amount of work done yet not appreciate by people "on top"
I've no confident to survive in my current job scope now.
Keeping my finger cross.

ah fuck. 1 more night i'm off to Thailand.
Damn da work~!

Coming to my 11th month in ***.
